Inspiration for Me&You Part2: playlist

I grew up in Stolberg, a small to medium-sized town in the Rhineland. There were many musicians in the area and the occasional concert. One day there was great excitement: word was that a guitarist and singer who had not listened to music for over 10 years would be giving a concert, one that would be untainted and truly authentic as a result. I didn’t go to this concert and am still to this day
convinced that I didn’t miss a thing. Playing and composing music doesn’t happen in a vacuum, quite the opposite in fact – creativity often consists of connecting and reconnecting with things. Peace and quiet are undoubtedly necessary, but so too is inspiration and an overview of current trends. Artists I have worked with and who have impressed me the most are the ones who have a vast knowledge of music, both past and present.
